In this stylish restaurant, which is located near the centre of Železná Ruda, you can enjoy traditional homemade Czech cuisine. You will appreciate the non-smoking environment with 40 seats and the separate dining room for undisturbed privacy. In the summer it is possible to sit on the pleasant terrace which seats 20. There is also parking for visitors to the restaurant. The building in which the pension and restaurant are housed was bulit in 1705 and is the second oldest building in Železná Ruda.

As soon as you walk into it, you suddenly find yourself thousands of miles away from Šumava in the Wild West. The spacious restaurant has Country style decorations. The dining room is divided up into smaller salons, guaranteeing a certain privacy and undisturbed conversations. The restaurant can comfortably seat upto 100 people. In the summer you can enjoy your meal served on the terrace. The restaurant also has its own brewery. The beer is brewed according to old recipes and is unpasteurised and unfiltered. The brewery ties in with the tradition of a town brewery in Železná Ruda, which brewed its first beer in 1787.

A patisserie with a coffee shop Café Charlotte is one of the most sought-after cake shops in Šumava with great desserts and delicious ice-creams and knickerbocker glories with real whipped cream. Café Charlotte offers pleasant seating in a stylish cake and coffee shop in the heart of Železná Ruda. All of the cakes and ice creams are made in the shop using their own recipes. Here you can taste homemade cakes and pies, pancakes and strudels, milk shakes or refreshing mixed drinks, a plethora of coffees and thick Italian hot chocolate with hundreds of flavours. After choosing from the broad selection you can look forward to an old-fashioned model train that runs above the guests’ heads while they wait. The cafe seats 50 and is non-smoking. The summer garden, which is open for guests duringpleasant weather, provides an additional 50 places. Guests can also use free parking located right next to the church.
